Rajarshi Smart

Rajarshi Smart was born in Surat, Gujarat. He completed his bachelor’s in painting & master’s in printmaking from M. S. University, Vadodara in 2002-2008. He is a printmaker and also explores many mediums like cyanotype, woodcut, etching, drawing, installation, etc. He got the award of Best Print from Gujarat state Lalit Kala Academy also selected in the 51st & 61st national exhibitions of Lalit Kala Academy. New Delhi. He has participated in various group exhibitions, and art residencies and conducted art workshops, nationally and internationally.

He was part of an international group show called “Perfect Match” in the Menier Gallery, London in 2017, "Woodblock prints" exhibition organized by Chaap Foundation in association with the Department of graphic arts, M. S. University, Vadodara supported by the Japan Foundation, New Delhi in 2016. His print was also selected in “Bengaluru print exchange Internationale” in 2022. He participated in many exhibitions like “Blending Boundaries”, at Lionel Wendt art gallery, Sri Lanka in 2022, “outer circle”, and “The Baroda March” at the strand art room, Colaba, Mumbai in 2009, “why not place “, arts-i residency, Connaught Place, New Delhi in 2009.
